With the new advancements of technology, there are lot of issues arising with malware also. In order to destroy them, IT giant Google has come up with a unique machine learning technique and has confirmed that they are very close to killing Android malware.
Adrian Ludwig, head of Android security spoke at the Structure Security conference in San Francisco. He said that telemetry data from handsets has helped to analyse the installed and uninstalled apps along with their software behaviour.
The detail statistics about the device can be checked at California mother ship centre and it can also be downloaded from Google Play services. If there are any changes in this logic and technique, a direct ping will be sent to the mother ship.
The main aim is to develop a powerful AI system which can automatically identify and remove the malware just by executing the codes.
Ludwig also informed that there is a great progress in the project because six months ago the software was capable of flagging just five per cent of malware and right now it can successfully destroy 55 percent of malware which is a great sign of improvement.
Google Play Protect system is designed in such a way that it can remove the malware during the scanning time itself. Robocop AI will be running at the backend and will check whether the particular app is user friendly or malware.
This AI software has resulted in the percentage rate of malware to constantly decrease. At the beginning of the year, it was recorded that out of two billion Android users, 0.6 users are affected by malware and the users have gone down to 0.2 percent.
This clearly shows that AI is successfully contributing to the security of Android and making sure that users are not susceptible towards malware.
